Counselling Sessions

  • Who I work with

I mainly work with LGBTQ+ adults who wish to meet a counsellor where those aspects of their identity will not be unnecessarily questioned or looked at, but can be spoken about respectfully and safely.

I am happy to have a chat to see if I am the right counsellor for you at this time.

  • Location

    I currently offer:

    • Online sessions

    • Telephone counselling

I am happy to discuss any accessibility requirements you may have and will do my best to accommodate them.

  • Fees

I offer an initial no-obligation 20 minute phone or video conversation.

I then charge £60 per 50 minute session.

I do offer a limited number of concessions for therapy sessions and am happy to discuss this via phone or email.

  • Counselling session structure

Sessions are typically weekly. Depending on my current avaliability, fortnightly sessions may be possible. They will usually be on the same day and at the same time each week.

Therapy sessions can be on the phone or online (video and voice or voice only).

There is no fixed definition of counselling, so it can be different for every person. It is a two-way conversation that can include silences.

Low-flying geese can be seen through long wispy grass. They are flying over a field and there are dark green trees in the distance.

Working with self-esteem, clients have found visualisations and compassionate mindfulness transformative. Having tools to take into daily life means clients have experienced feeling more positive, are more confident and able to cope themselves in about ten sessions.
